Murine Tumor Virus (MTV) is a type of retrovirus that primarily infects mice and is known to cause various types of tumors in these animals. Retroviruses like MTV possess an RNA genome, which upon infection, is reverse-transcribed into DNA and integrated into the host cell's genetic material.
